The Parliamentary Counsel Office (PCO) plays a critical role in developing and publishing New Zealand’s legislation. Our vision of Great Law for New Zealand underpins everything we do. The team

The People, Services and Delivery group is a newly refreshed team supporting the organisation with services including HR, Finance, Procurement, Information Management, Operations, Risk & Assurance. We are collaborative, aspirational, and connected by our firm focus on supporting people to shape the future of New Zealand’s law. We work to build strong and resilient relationships across the business to achieve strong engagement and effective partnerships.

The role

Our Deputy Chief Executive is looking for an outstanding EA to support her and her team to deliver great outcomes for the PCO. The successful applicant needs to be experienced in working in a busy environment and with multiple priorities.

You will be someone who:

  • is a trusted ‘right-hand’ in a friendly and collaborative team
  • enjoys being busy, anticipating needs, and proactively getting things done
  • manages competing priorities, including inboxes and calendars, with ease
  • identifies opportunities to enhance systems and processes to improve your, and the team’s work
  • is experienced in coordinating and managing key meetings including the PCO’s Audit & Risk committee
  • has broad financial processing experience
  • has presentation and formatting experience with Word, PowerPoint and Intranet
  • positively contributes to organisational culture.

You’ll be a proactive multi-skilled, senior EA who is energised about the opportunity to support leadership during an exciting period of change and growth.
