  1. These documents inform Parliament and the public of our strategic objectives over the medium-term, and how we will manage functions and operations to achieve or contribute to these objectives.

  2. Annual Reports detail our performance over the previous financial year towards our strategic performance measures, Vote performance measures, and financial management.

  3. Performance measures assess our performance towards Vote Parliamentary Counsel, and the outcomes we deliver for the public. We report against these measures in our Annual Reports.

  4. These reports enable us to monitor progress against the Legislation Act 2019’s purpose of high quality legislation that is easy to find, use, and understand.

  5. We publish Cabinet papers and minutes that the PCO proactively releases here. In general, material must be published within 30 working days of final Cabinet decisions.

  6. Toipoto kia Toiora represents PCO’s approach to Kia Toipoto, the Public Service Gender, Māori, Pacific, and Ethnic Pay Gaps Action Plan 2021-24.

  7. Briefings for incoming Ministers (BIMs) help give a new Minister an overview of the portfolio, what their responsibilities are, and what the PCO does.

  8. A draft document outlining how we would receive and deal with information about serious wrongdoing in or by the PCO under the Protected Disclosures (Protection of Whistleblowers) Act 2022.
